Well it was quite a scramble to put everything together to make it up for this one but i made it. Luckily weather held out and we were blessed by sun and warm weather. I had no real expectations for this weekend just wanted to see where i was at after the winter.
Saterday.
LWSB: Practice felt good i was excited to be racing with fellow rsp racer #781 Jim B. So the race starts ok i didnt get the best launce but figured i can make up ground as i usaully can. Lap 2 coming up the staight into turn 1 imin hot pursuit of rider #106 eric johanson and Lorna Murphy(rider number?) when i see an opening on the inside of turn 2 and go for it. Then as we reach the apex of the corner #106 dips his shoulder as if he is going to close me off and i check up, and suddenly my brakes lock up and i superman over the bars and begin to tumble down the pavement. While being thrown about i caught a glimps of Lorna being thrashed around with my bike.
I got up almost immediately and was scared half to death when i turned to see lorna not moving and my stomach sunk, then as i approached her she started moving, the wind got knocked out of her. Her leg was also alittle banged up from a rearset peg gashing her leg, but bike and rider not to worse for wear.
Sunday
practice was a no go due to mechanically issues from the crash.
LWSS i headed out for the warm up lap thinking everything had been worked out......nope my fuel pump got stuck in prime and fuel system is screwed so had to pit in and call it a loss
LWGP was a no go unable to fix mechanical issues
In closing I owe the entire Rsp team and associated friends a huge heart felt thank you for everything you guys did to try to get me back out there and for being there for me. It was very hard for me to walk away from the bike and let you guys take the reins and go at it on my behalf. Words cannot describe how good it makes me feel to know that i have such good support team of friends out there who have your back through anything...Thank you agian everyone.
Thank you pirelli for the great tires they performed well when i did get to ride, MTAG for your support, street and comp miles was very responsive and had what i needed
