BTW:
Since I've been streetriding again out here in Cali, I've been having to change my shield a bunch (dark or clear). I've got the shield change down to about 10 seconds on my Arai. It's pretty simple and quick once you do it a few times.

The engineer that came up with that design should be fired!
Although I can change mine fairly easy now...(after 15 times and a full year of practice) One of the instructions in the manual actually says, "Use a key or other pointed object..." Let me get this straight......You want me to use a key on my brand new $500 helmet?
Nothing fits me like an Arai and nothing I've tried is as plush, quiet and light, so I'll stick with it, but Jesus Christmas, could they make the shield change any more of a pain in the ass? If there's a way, an engineer will accomplish just that.
-Off Rant-
I'm not sure what the issue is but my rx7 shield comes off like butter, i can remove and reinstall in less than 5 seconds.
I had a little trouble with triumphdog's shield for awhile until i a chance to lube the mechanism and now i can take his shield off as fast as mines.

Dude Arai's are the best helmets I've ever had on my head. I'll take 10 extra seconds of visor fiddling for amazing fit, great finish, and proven head saving performance (ouch!!)
