Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK:
If the main power to the garages is not the restored by the weekend, they are supposed to hook up generators. So, the garages and bathrooms will have power one way or another.
HOWEVER, if you you camp in the grass, you might wanna bring a generator.
Edit: Oh yeah, in case anyone doesn't know, I am a rider rep too.

Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK:
If we make 50k / weekend, and Nastycar makes 13 mil/ weekend,
then we would have to race for more than 26 years to equal one Nastycar event.
Organize and bitch, disorganize and bitch, it does not matter until you bring 13 mil to the table.
Be thankful for what we have. Feel left out in the cold? Go race Nelson's Ledges.

Hmmm, that's not entirely accurate either. Every person who has a racing license and has supplied their email address should receive email updates from LRRS. If you haven't supplied an address, you can at anytime. Just send an email to "lrrsracing@tampabay.rr.com" All this was mentioned at BOTH riders meetings.
Now Jackie, I know you don't race so I didn't expect you to know that. Don't think I'm pickin on you. I still  u!

Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK:
There are children in Korea Who have no place to race at all. I am grateful Loudon is there and They let me ride there. Sometimes its great Sometimes its not so great. We are the same people who can Wreck a bike beyond recognition and with some help from friends some parts duct tape and zip-ties Get back out there to compete in Record time. We are stronger then this.
This will not stop us, Things will be better when they are done

Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK:
Your rider Rep's are all over this. Sounds like Mike and B.J. are burning up the phone lines for their peeps.
Thank them in person this weekend for working so hard for the riders and families.

can those of us that don;t race add our addresses to the list so we can know what is going on too? I am a corner worker and would find this type of information very useful as i camp in the infield as well.

you mean you don't think there should be an organization to represent the racers to the track, like um, the loudon road race association? Or reps to represent the racers to the loudon road race association, like um, the rider reps?
I, myself, have been criticizing the methods of neurosurgery studies, because those doctors need my expert advice.

Good, when you leave, put in a good word for me.
I suck at marketing, and I'm worth 6 figures if you include the cents after the dollar signs. But I do make a mean dick joke.

Something tells me you couldn't handle more than a month or two doing marketing for roundy round.

Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK:
wow! this thread blew up! i didnt read all 4 pages so if no one mentioned it, i did hear (not really from the track) that they are bringing in aux power for the center garages. hopefully this will mean a trailer type-heavy duty-run everyones power in the garage as well as the parking lot-kinda power. i wouldnt count on the T6 bathroom having power unless its on a different circuit.
i realize it sucks and hopefully locked power boxes arent in our future but i think we can all agree that NJ and VA are both top level tracks and VIR south has no power and NJ has none in their "infield" either. all 3 tracks at Firebird in AZ are all pavement paddock with no garages and no power. Bette said by the classic we should be good *fingers crossed*
-
Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK:
i also want to point out that Bette told me that priorities are upsidedown now, with NASCAR at the top and us at the bottom.
she doesnt like it that way, and she would much rather have the club racers at the top of the list like it usually is.
-
Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK:
I am curious as to how long locked power boxes would last...
