if youre concerned that there wont be enough power to go around in the garages then bring a generator.
my opinion is if you have a generator then it wont hurt to bring it...just in case.

A day of power from that sign could supply LRRS for a year.

as of monday there was no solution for the lack of power. by the time people started lighting up the phones at NHMS they obviously fixed the situation. i was simply preparing people for the worst. im glad the situation was resolved.
now....go fuck yourself, douche canoe
Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK:
Whatever happens, happens.
I'll have a generator in the back of my truck just in case...

My bad. The wireless mike was very touchy about where one stood when they used it. I gave up on it and used nothing but the hard wired mike for the rest of the event. Bruce told me this past weekend that the FM transmitter works through the wireless system.
Something really baked about the PA. I'm at the Vintage Celebration right now, and we are using the wired mike to broadcast to the North Garages and the wireless to the Center Garages. Wanda and I were trying to chase down the problem on Monday, but to no avail.

Would you guys be open to someone coming in to take a gander at the system? I might know a guy that is pretty good with electronics and what not...:teehee:

Shrug.. no worries. We found a solution by listening into the corner worker frequency on the hand held and listening for halfway point, last lap and checkered, etc...
With all the construction going on and all the water issues in the past few years I'm not surprised the technology is a little tired. Might be worth investing in a PA system for classic weekend though.
Thanks,
Fitz
Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK:
The new system has been installed and was working fine until last weekend.
Wanda was calling Tech Support as all preliminary checks didn't reveal any obvious faults.
Bear in mind that we have two separate entities here. LRRS for the racing and NHMS for the infrastructure. Once the bikes are on track, I'm at my job and I really don't have the time to pursue any PA problems. Damn near lost my mind chasing them two seasons ago. All we can do is to pass the info up front and that's it for us.
Bergs, that would be a matter for the front office. You would most likely have to discuss the matter with Bette French.
