Just a friendly reminder to all who will be at the upcoming event. The Loudon Classic will most likely be bringing in a decent number of spectators. Our past experience has been that some of these people have gone through racers' pit areas and taken parts, equipment and other stuff they consider worth stealing.
Plan ahead to make a conscious effort to keep your stuff secure. Lock up your personal effects, such as your wallets, watches, etc. Thieves have been known to wait until a rider goes out onto the track, then gone into their pit area and/or vehicle to take valuables. Buddy up as best as possible with other riders in order to insure reasonable coverage of your pit area while you are on track. Think about what you're bringing to the track and maybe leave unnecessary stuff at home.

anyone suspected of stealing will be strapped down and placed under a motard rear tire and then used as a burn out box.

Yeah, around $1700.00 in cash was stolen from the Boston Moto trailer two race weekends ago.
Be on the lookout. If you catch anyone stealing, please don't call the police. call me.

^ Hell yeah.
WTF... I love LRRS 'cause no matter where I wander, it feels like I'm amongst family. Slightly dysfunctional maybe, but still family. Then you hear about something like that... I carry a 36" precision frame adjustment tool in my kit, and I will come swinging if I catch anyone trying to pocket someone elses' stuff.

I'm not afraid to go a lil Gordon Freeman if the situation calls for it...
^ Even better.
There's nearly 1,200 acres of land at NHMS, Loudon. I'm not saying that if anything bad, or untoward just happened, that I could make the "particulars" disappear.....
I'm just sayin'......
Those Animal Hill people will burn anything.

Thanks for the reminder, Johnny. I am amongst those who take a little less care with my belongings while at the track...it's sad to think that this happens anytime, but it is at least a little more expected at the classic (those people are "outsiders" and not part of our little dysfunctional family)....to hear that this happened at a regular weekend, well, that just sucks.

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
+1 to the heads up on theft.
I've already had things stolen this year at the regular weekends. Fucking scumbags.
Sucks that a bunch of us all pouring money into our addiction can't hang out and race without worrying about gutless douchebags taking things that we worked hard for.
I'm going to try to be even more careful this weekend but there's only so much I can realistically do aside from continually re-loading everything into my trailer and locking it... which I may do for the Classic.
