I bent my shift rod on the last race of the season last year. I tried to straighten it but it broke. It's a really short 85mm male to male reverse threaded on one end rod. Where the hell do you find these? It seems my Yamaha R3 with a Dynojet quick shifter installed makes for a pretty short shift rod.
Anyone know where I can get a 85mm male/male threaded shift rod? My Google KungFu skills are weak.![]()

Hit up Woodcraft for starters.
Looks like it might be rod "G".

The problem I have with Dynojet G is that it looks like it has female ends.

B and G are m/m on both ends

Sportbiketrackgear is always helpful with finding shift rods... I tend to break em too

Woodcraft didn't have anything short enough for the quickshifter. I gave them the length and the didn't have anything even worth cutting down as the lock nuts are only about 2" apart. I'll try the Dynojet option.

I assumed they were internal threads (that whole reading comprehension thing I struggle with). Can do it either way it's just a bit more difficult with external threads.
Just let me know.

I shot an email to Gregg Spears Racing and asked him about Woodcraft rearsets/GP shift and Dynojet and he told me its a 120mm shift rod. Then he sent me the picture of the set up and it all made sense. GMD built this for me so I was just replacing what was there. Here is the 120mm rod set up from Spears. Everyone has that length...
