I searched with no luck. Is there such a thing? I don't want to walk to cracked anything these next two weekends i the temps get under freezing over night. The Rulebook mentions a list of approved additives but I haven't seen one.

I wouldn't worry about it. The temps won't be that low long enough to freeze the water in the system
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Water Weter or Maxima Cool-aide.
Stick a lamp with an incandescent bulb under your bike if its going to get below 30 degrees. Otherwise you'll be fine.

Slightly OT. When do you guys drain the coolant. And do you replace it with antifreeze for the winter? Or just leave the machine dry?

Prestone or whatever from autozone is good 'nuf for storage purposes?
Get yourself a heated garage. You know you were just looking for an excuse to get one anyway...

Honda calls for ethylene glycol with silicate free corrosion inhibitors (as opposed to silicate corrosion inhibitors).
Honda claims silicate corrosion inhibitors can cause premature wear and failure to water pump seals.
You can pick this up at your local autoparts store.
Mine gets drained at the end of the season, filled with ProCool ('cause I'm lazy and it's premixed and readily available) then stored in my basement that never dips below 57 deg in the winter.
I've been using the regular Prestone for a few years now without any problem. if you're just using it for winter storage and draining it in the spring I wouldn't worry. water pump seals can't be that tough to change even if you do need to. if you're really worried just find one labeled ethylene glycol instead of propylene glycol. Prestone Low Tox and Heavy Duty look to both be ethylene

Drain and replace with coolant and RUN THE ENGINE until the t-stat opens. The important stuff to drain is in the head and wont drain while cold. The new coolant will mix with the water in the head once the tstat opens.
How can you tell when the t-stat opens? Especially on a gauge-less track toy?
Leave the radiator cap off. You'll be able to see the difference.
Prestone Low tox is propylene glycol, same thing found in many food items. Most other auto coolants and brake fluid are ethylene glycol = poison. I've seen that extended life, heavy duty, Dex-cool(orange), and "add to anything" coolants are silicate free. Silicate might wipe your pump seal if you put 100K on it. Definitely OK for winter storage! Thanks for the water reminder, first frost here last week.
