I have the "concept"...
Lets say I beat the new Ducati's... does it matter that I am on old equipment? All I am saying.
You need to grasp the concept of "open discussion":
"I'd rather ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow"

Ok, let's say you beat a new ducati on your 94 or whatever it is. What does that do for ducati? Someone going to run out and spend money with ducati for a 94 that you (imaginarily) used to beat a new one? No, hence why they pay to see new and recent models on the top and not models that they won't see a penny for. Ducati is not in business to give money away because you show them a trophy, they're in business to sell motorcycles.
If you understand the concept then you'll understand that you pay to go do something you enjoy doing. You're not going to make money doing it and people aren't going to pay you to do it. What do they owe you? You haven't earned anything from them.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Understood. People won't pay you for nothing.
I REALLY am not looking to make money, I was questioning the "fairness" of it all.
Just thought that any year *insert bike here* on the podium would be worth it to manufacturer. Maybe to different degrees but.... I guess they don't see it that way. AND I am fine with that.![]()

Alex, where do I have to fly to demo that 848? I'm hoping I don't hate it like the other ducs I've riden. For some reason I'm real interested in seeing what it's got for the track. (I do have to find something to race after I NEU stops taking all my money)
