I thought there were free drinks at LDR and CBR pits whenever clayton was around... Looking forward to it.
Budda, I have no idea how to cornerwork but 9am. at the media center seems to be the place to start. See you there if you decide to come down, if not see you next race weekend
I got out there and worked 12 for the morning on Sunday.
Great way to pick up some tips, had an expert EX500 rider out there working with me before lunch, gave me some GREAT tips for getting through 11/12 and that whole section became less of a worry.
(I picked up a bunch of bikes that crashed too... including Pete's)
Sandy was very informative although she was dumbing it down a little too much for me"when the bike poops we put down a diaper, no poop on the track"
I then informed her I was a Fire Fighter/EMT/Hazmat Tech and had emailed her on the NEAR board. She said "Your Doc right?" I am imfamous!
It is something I will definately do again.![]()

if you EVER consider racing or doing trackdays, cornerworking is the best way to learn. try to move around to different corners to learn the track. if you already do trackdays and have a corner that gives you trouble ,then ask to work that corner. it gives you a different perspective on the corner and chances are you might be working with someone that races and can give you tips. (like Doc said)

So, definitely loved cornerworking! I can't wait til the next weekend to do it again. I feel like I got a much better feel for how the races work (i.e. what all the flags mean, since I was swinging them), and got to get an up close and personal view of turn 2. In the rain. The only downside is there isn't a whole lotta hanging in the pits, which is a bummer since I love to take the pics, but I will be back next race weekend, hopefully on a different corner (I'd love to do 3, but who knows...).
Summary: Cornerworking is fun. Do it. They always need more people!
