Anyone got 1mm KTM RFS motor clutch steel plates floating loose? Don't have to be new or perfect, just flat...
I've got a full set of steels, brand new. Let me guess, yours are warped?
I will soon, my 525 needs a new clutch, though I'm sure whatever is in there now is going to be toast when I replace it. Complete clutch kits from the KTM hard parts book are a little under $200

I suspect there are a few warped ones, but I haven't had a chance to verify that hunch yet. Clutch drags but otherwise acts normal, IE no slip, releases towards the end of the lever travel, etc. I'm just trying to line up parts I might need so when I can finally throw wrenches at the bike, I won't discover that there's a showstopper that'll prevent me from racing till I get a part in hand.
motosport.com is your friend. Good prices (not great, but less than list), and if you spend over $200 (easy to do) they ship it 2-day Express for free. And yeah, if the clutch is dragging, the steels are probably warped. Just remember that there are 2 different thickness plates in there.
Lucky for me, 01 and prior used 1mm steels only, 02 and up is when they started playing with the stack height 'cording to my manual.
Less luckily for me, my local dealer doesn't carry KTM, so I can't get OEM parts through them, and it seems the older Katooms have fallen off the aftermarket parts companies supported lists. Motosport.com doesn't list a clutch kit for the older RFS machines either I see... bah.
I'm going to have to track down a copy of the Hard Parts book, keep seeing references to it all over the place.
What do you have for a bike? Link to 01 520SX clutch parts.

It's under OEM parts. I've ordered a bunch of parts for my 560 from them. Good thing for me most of that motor is the same as the 450 and 525.
Ah, cool, I was going to the dirt section, engine, clutch... so no OEM hits.
Oh, and I don't have the bike yet... but the plan barring natural disasters is to have an 01 520SX.![]()
