Anyone need a crew member?

Due to my money situation, I am unable to race the last weekend. I would really hate to miss out though. Does anyone need a tech hand in their pit on Sunday?

Wheel swaps, warmers on and off, on and off the stand, fueling, you name it. I will bring with me my warmers and any tools needed. I only ask that my infield entry is covered.

Corner worker school is 9am on Saturday. but you can check with Laura at 7:15am in the scales garage.

My GF Christine contacted Laura Snyder, (contact info is at LRRS site, look on the left side, there's a US marshalls link.) She's in the same boat. She wants to corner work, but can't be there Saturday. Laura said she could pair her up with an experienced worker for Sunday. Obviously, I can't authorize this, but you should contact Laura to find out if you can. The fact that you can pick up a bike is a big plus.

This is very true, an experienced worked can "babysit" and show you the ropes, Corner workig is not rocket science, you just have to know/be shown what each corner has for hazards and then follow the rules.

1: watch out for yourself (don't turn your back on oncoming traffic)
2: Watch out for your other corner workers
3: Watch out for the riders not in a "Situation"
4: Care for the rider in the "situation"

Those are, of course the rules for the people picking up bikes and playing in traffic.

Also if you are planning on working dress accordingly... Long pants, no red or yellow, only closed toed shoes/boots.

I had planned on corner working for the last race weekend and couldn't make it out there for Saturday due to personal issues, have not realized I could still show up on Sunday if I missed the Saturday morning class or I would have been there today.
