Forgive the noob question here. I'm thinking about getting my helmet painted but before I do I want to make sure it won't affect my ability to get it through tech since I plan on using it next season for racing. I'm guessing they go by the label inside the helmet and not the sticker on the outer shell but can someone confirm this before I do anything and end up having to buy a new lid?

The only thing that they look at is the date that it was manufactured. Must be within 5yrs or it doesn't pass. Out side graphics or paint doesn’t make a diff at all. If it’s cracked, chipped or rashed then that may be Diff...

Ian you will be fine. They just look at the sticker on the inside. Just mske sure when you get your race number you put it on both sides of your lid.
