This is for the people going to Daytona to discuss the planning of the trip.
I believe that Dan (legalspeed) is going, maybe you can all go down in one vehicle with one trailer?

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
After discussing this with Gerard last night, we would like to propose the following.
For a fee, Gerard and I would like Dan to drive our bikes down to daytona. Because of vacation problems I can't take enough time off to go to Daytona for the whole week. I was going to drive down with Gerard and Gordon the weekend before to help with driving and then fly back on the Sunday before the races, then fly back down to daytona the wednesday of the race week only to drive back again the Sunday of the races.
Dan, how do you feel about driving the bikes down there, maybe hooking up with the DART guys for the trip.
Another alternative, is there any room with the DART guys to take mine and Gerard's bikes down with a couple of boxes of our stuff (leathers, warmers/tools)??
Any thoughts?
Derek
No problemo!!!
I was hoping to follow someone down, Barb is thinking on flying, I told her this morn. she better hit the travel sites.
I'm not looking to make any denero, just to pay for the extra weight in gas consumption.

I'll talk to steve to see what room we have left in the camper for bikes as of now I think we may have 1 open slot for an additional machine.
I don't think it would be too much of an issue to drive down together we will need to to coordinate a schedule as to when and where to meet and leave from.
Let me get an accurate inventory of how much room we have and I will be glad to help out in the best way feasible.
This sounds good to me.. Dan give me a ring asap so that I can book some airline tickets.

Have you guys registered for the Team hammer school?
They reccommend taking the school for people who have never ridden daytona before. I have the info if you are interested although they need the registration done in the next few days.
Yes.

I found some tickets in the high $200s from Boston to Daytona and some in the low $300s from Manchester to Daytona. (same dates you indicated)
Where are you flying out of ?
How do you want to handle ground travel once we get to Daytona? Do we need to rent a car?
I don't have your work #...can you PM me your # or call ?
I need to travel down on the Tuesday night and return on Sunday night or VERY early Monday.
Beth told me that Providence-Daytona had some cheap flights.
Check Sanford, Fla. as a destination as well.

Lemme know ASAP if you're gonna end up flying outta Manch. We *MAY* be able to work something out so that you won't hafta pay for extended parking at the airport...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
OK, I will be flying into Daytona on Tuesday evening and flying back to Boston the following Monday morning at 6am. Gerard, you said you had a hotel held for Monday night that we could all crash at, right?
Degs

1. Is the itinerary for Daytona online anywhere?
2. has anyone booked any races yet?
3. Are we doing the team challenge?

The only info I have if from FUSA and CCS that I got in the mail. As for the team challenge.. I dunno what you wanted to do but I have 1 guy from Atl that is sickly fast.. like AMA fast.. Lemme know what you guys had in mind.
We'll need a place for Saturday and Sunday night, not Monday night, right? (I'm guessing that's what you meant Degsy)Originally posted by Degsy

OK, the team challenge is Thursday at 3pm. $175 to enter with free poractice Thursday morning. What better way to get plenty of practice in for the races sat and sun? The race is 56 laps (about 200 miles)
Who is in? Add your name below mine.
We could do GTU or GTO on my bike or GTL on Steve's bike if he lets us.

If Steve is going down there, we should enter the team challenge on his number with his bike in GTL as that team has already won a third place in a team challenge event.
