I believe you were kicking rocks cause you ran out of gas. I was working in 2 with Hammadown. Shook your hand and everything. You were a little pissed and a lot hyped on adrenaline. No worries. We'll meet officially next race weekend.

I was dissappointed when my little ghetto trailer didn't have a Denno waiting in it for me when I went to bed.

I always knew there was an "I" in team
I am gonna preach a little:
There are a lot of new track folks here these days Just starting out, Getting ready for rookie race learning the art of trackside set up ect. They Need alot of help and we as fellow racers are glad to give it to them, But 1 point must be made. Things get hetic at the track before races, Often there will be guy helping with wheel changes and another guy adjusting chain and somebody else helping with gas, (you get the point)
Here is the golden Law:
If you ride it you are responsible for your own safety, Yu Must tighten the caliper bolts yourself, you must check the air pressure Yourself, you must check everything Yourself. You are the one at risk, You are are riding the thing. Thats part of racing, Sure 99% of the time I will do a perfect job helping you out, Getting you ready after a crash it is your job to make the bike is 100% ready nd safe for the track.
This really has nothing to do With Denno Running out of gas He Knows what he is doing and everbody gets caught up sometimes and misjudges gas,
Hell I did it twice

My Petcock made me run out of gas! Honest!
(Damn thing stops flowing reliably below a half tank... gotta take it apart and figure out what it's major malfunction is...)
I don't agree 100%.
You ever see Matt Mladin tighten his own caliper bolts?
Every bolt that can cause problems is safety wired. I safety wire them all after I put anything back on the bike (wheels etc) that way, the rider can take a glance over the bolts and axles etc and see that they are on and wired...no problems.
...and as a racer, there is never any excuse to run out of gas...never. I don't buy the "things get hectic" thing. We weren't rushed for any of Denno's races. We made a mistake as a team and to that end I will take responsibility. It won't happen again, but not for the reasons you might think. It won't happen again because I will personally gas the bikes before the races.
...and I only mention it because there have now been 3 people who have come to me and said "I hear you fucked up and forgot to gas up Denno's bike!!"
Yeah, it's a team, but it reflects on me personally when a fuckup like this happens. I'm much more pissed about it than anyone because I'm the one who feels/looks stupid.
bah, shit happens, it doesn't need to get frikkin analyzed... lesson was learned, no one as hurt, balls were busted, won't happen again, end of story...
But I'll be sure to keep a small gas can on standby for Denno by turn 1a, just in case
hehehehe, I said anal.

Matt Mladin didn't run 25's when he was at Loudon haha, I'd say running faster than a 1:!2, means you don't have to be the final set of eyes on your own bike haha.
Dan's point was you shouldn't rely on somebody else for your own safety, if team logistics have responsibility on somebody else, then so be it, but you guys better trust eachother!
Either that it's because we've got so many Monday Quarterbacks on the board.

im glad you love nesr, but i'm not saying who or what was the cause for the gas... i was just replying to degsy... i've had my gas light go on in endurance races, and ran out in practice... i dont point fingers at the track, that seems like a good way to jinx yourself
yea, we'll see eachother, listen for the guy with the stupid loud gsxr, who drives past your fancy garage from the lawn seats on his way to the cold pits haha.
good times for your first weekend at loudon too!
