Too bad my bike will easily do 120. I would love to attend.
2023 KTM 890 Adventure R
Race bike with a red light on the back legal? My starts are fucking horrible, this could help.
Test and Tune bike prep is different than Street Night bike prep.
I'm going to call the NED office tomorrow to ask some questions regarding road race bikes. Hoping Fridays are also Test and Tune.
Sucks that my bike does not support lighting of any kind. Looks like I'll be rigging something up directly to the battery.

yes that will work. its what i needed. i was able to make runs until the sun went down. all you need is a tail light
not true. just cant run slicks except on test and tune day. i ran my race bike. they used the LRRS numbers that were on the bike. i just needed a tail light.
i have no immediate plans to go.
its 120 through the speed trap at the finish line. just chop the throttle before the line. when you think youre done for the night do a balls out run. my girlfriend got about 6 runs in this way.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

either youre confused and confusing me or im totally lost.
the rules i posted are for street night. just need a tail light. i ran a racebike without a tail light until sundown.that was almost 9pm because it was mid summer. if you go over 120 through the speed trap at the finish line then you need a tether. you can always stab the brakes right before the finish line to prevent breaking the 120mph speed barrier. must run DOT tires. DOT race tires are ok.

I used to go up there pretty regularly. People were definitely running race bikes on the street night. I'd say 1 in 4 were race bikes. Not road race bikes obviously. And, a kill switch for over 120 only takes about 15 minutes to mount up. You can get one at any marine store. Basically you put it in line with your stock red switch. For a tail light you can zip tie a flashlight with a red lens facing backwards if you want. As long as it isn't going to fall off. I'd love to go up there again with anything. It's so simple but so addicting when you start racing.
If anyone needs a "tail light" for this I have a pair of round LED trailer lights (clear lense, red LED's) I'll never actually use....well, I mean I'll be using one of them but the other is up for the taking if anyone wants it.
ya, i think my 650 just barely broke 100
