so there will be no thread about thawing a engine and is it junk? A fresh charge on the transponder ain't a bad idea either.

I'm late, but my excuse is my bike is in my basement where it never drops below 50 degrees.
Out of curiosity by a non racer wouldn't filling it with 50/50 regular coolant be better than empty? I would worry that there was some water retained that could freeze and cause a crack in the radiator fins unless you blowing out the system with a compressor.
I always fill with coolant for that exact reason. then flush it out in the spring.

Thank you to my sponsors: Sidi / AMSOIL / Klutch Industries
FZR has got fresh fluids in the sump and radiator, carb's drained via bowl removal so I know they're dry, and it's snug in the basement on stands for the winter, never to see temps below 60 degrees.
My motor is going to be vacationing in Alabama for the winter.

Isnt engine ice (or one of them) good to like -20F ?
~that which doth not kill me can only make me stronger~
LRRS / CCS - #103
Yeah, Engine Ice prevents freeze-up to -26 F. I guess the time I just spent replacing it was wasted.
Thanks for mentioning it, I thought its freezing point was the same as water. I'll just run Engine Ice all the time starting next spring.
Edit - Water Wetter is approved for track use, and it does NOT lower the freezing point of water. Is Engine Ice considered OK for the track?
Yeah, I know that technically you can run anything, including coolant, at most track days.

People almost invariably arrive at their beliefs not on the basis of proof but on the basis of what they find attractive.

How come we don't use it in cars?

Less than 8.50 a bottle at Advance Auto Parts with a coupon code. How much water will one bottle treat? (I only use a tiny capful in the bike.)
Are you talking about water wetter? Water wetter won't keep water from freezing.

Yes thats what I checked...watter wetter
you can run it in your car if you want. nothing says you can't.

Its gonna be getting cold.
Only because you're paying for the brand. Engine Ice is just propylene glycol (a non toxic equivalent to ethylene glycol used as traditional antifreeze), which is also sold as RV& marine antifreeze. Available at walmart for 3 bucks.

Christian has been very busy and hasn't come to the house to do all that for me on all my bikes hahaha
Wouldn't hurt to throw a fresh charge on the transponder too
