Ohhh, I got a couple.
Let me set the scene, pit bike race, 2012, sunny, hot, people gathered for miles....I'm in a full race suit on a fiddy. I'm 6 feet, 180 pounds, and can barely get my legs on that bitch. "All riders report to the starting line!" I hop on my hog, put it in first, and bam, I wheelie back on my ass. Bike falls on my leg. I'm just sitting there with a fiddy on my leg, like a bad dog trying to hump a leg. Steve Aspland is just looking at me, like, "Dude, they let you ride the big bikes?!"
Second, more dangerous: lowside outta T12 in my first Amateur race, a GTL, I was in 4th and making an attempt for 3rd. I still had like 10 minutes of riding left. I could have made the pass for sure if I gave it some time. Instead, I hammer on the gas and slide the rear out. But, that's not the stupidest part...after falling, I took a look around, and decided I could make it to the wall before the next riders came by....bad judgement. After getting up, I ended up standing there still as a tree as a few riders whizzed by (Bill M. and Jake V. included). I appreciate they're focus not to hit me. I got a stern talking to by a corner worker after that. Now when I crash, I just lay there forever if I'm close to the line.

You can't make this shit up folks.
All of these give me hope that I'm not abnormally stooopid. Just average.
Thanks to all that have posted as well as all of those that will.
For me it was thinking that I could save a low side out of T12. It so felt like I could stand it back up. Well. Really it was the foolish thought that I could reel in the leader whom I could not even see. If I would have just let the bike slide away I would have broken a lot less shit.. It was a dumb way to throw away a solid second place finish. I did get a nice visit with the nice folks in the ICC. They even gave a ride back to the garage wearing nothing but my undersuit..
The older I get the Faster I wuz
Crashed in my rookie race, all alone, not one bike to battle with..Happened in turn 10...I didn't even get one single lap in before eating asphalt...

I waved to the t6 spectators then hit the inside curb and almost binned it on the cool down lap![]()

"So this is what your race program has become... the back of a pickup truck huh?" -PK
Ran out of gas on the motard last year at a track day.
Ran into the wall coming out of 12. Hit the turtle and was just a hot mess. Luckily I only scraped my boot and footpeg on the wall and didn't fall off.
Ahh forgot these gems..
First race weekend as a novice I went out with black numbers...I wondered why everyone was looking at me. I binned it in T2 of my first race on my first lap that weekend in the rain.
And taking the pitbike race super serious.

2011 Pit Bike Race CHAMPION!
Crashed out of a comfortable lead in AM GTL by being lazy and heavy on the bars in 1.
Stalled my start for my rookie race. (and yes I fucking won like a BOSS)
Decided the paint on the inside of 9 would be a great apex with lots of traction during a damp practice...my first expert practice. I have no idea how I misjudged my tip in, I guess I didn't have enough coffee, who knows. Ended up down the hill in no mans land. Felt like a tool. Oh, and I had just repainted the bike.

To be accurate it was 3 layers of paint 3 layers of duct and 1 layer of gorilla hockey tape
I completely screwed up going into T2 and ran over those yellow strips at full lean and almost high sided....
This was a long while ago... but in a race I didn't realize my steering damper had come loose. I came around T2 and slid a little bit, just enough to go into a tank slapper (first I've ever experienced). I couldn't do a damn thing, but was still leaned over and on the throttle, slammed the wall INSANELY hard. It stopped the slapper and I didn't even go down, but I was sitting about a foot down and to the right of where I had been (because of my body weight on the subframe). Punched a hole through the case cover too haha.
Its tough to wreck a bike and still keep the rubber side down.

Sorry sav, but as you can see, I'm not the only person who thinks that's hysterical.
