Stoneman has a good one.
The time he ran 9 laps. Riding flat out passing all kinds of people on their COOL DOWN LAP!

G-man has a good one also, I'll let him tell you, he might want this particular story to die a death. Suffice to say, the infield wheelies ceased from that day on.

i ran out of gas...one turn after the red flag (thank god)
last weekend on lap 3 the front slid in the bowl.. i thought "thats weird"... then i realized that i hadnt checked my tire pressure since the weekend before. after it cooled i had 12psi in the front.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Raced w/torn rotor cuff, doctor advised not to race! Crashed in turn 3 on first lap, straight into the tires, could not hold the bars.
turn 4 warm up lap high side - no warmers- novive- whats tire pressure?
Went drinking till 5:00 AM last year on the hill (bike week) Races sucked the next day!
Crashed 2 times in a row before i fugured out i had no spcer in the rear tire.
The list goes on and on....everyday thing w/me!!!
The greatest screw up...gave my buddy a life long limp because i did not put bolts in his seat before doing wheelies![]()
Crashed in qualifying for a race with seven riders in it. Not smart.
Bought a set of Bridgestone race tires.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Borrowed a bike and promptly crashed it in the bowl. Then borrowed it again and REALLY crashed it in the bowl. Then bought it...
Ran out of gas on the last lap of the first race that I was winning going away...
Highsided on the out lap breaking both my hands...
Took myself out in practice by trying an outside pass in 8. The guy goosed it and beat me to the curb in 9. Instead of T-boning him, I stood it on it's nose and launched myself OVER the tail of his bike.
Went out in DOT's while it was pouring.
Did it again in semi-wet the next weekend and crashed in 3 when I realized I was in 3rd place and tried to keep it that way.
Waved to people during a race.
Rode an EX500. I don't think I'll learn.

another one.....i used a clip master link and didn't safety wire or silicone the clip on.
i had like a 15 second lead in my last novice race with 2 laps to go....snapped with the bike tacked coming up on T11....tried to go straight through the grass cuz i wasn't sure what happened (all i knew is my bike made a loud thud, shut off and wobbled) and the second i hit the grass my front end tucked, sending me cartwheeling through the grass.
i have a rivit link now

-out braked myself going into turn 3 in my rookie race. ran wide, got both wheels on the buell in the air when i crossed the kerb. some how i didn't crash.
-500 lb buell, one front brake rotor, stock pads and HD brand fluid. boiled my brake fluid on the second to last lap of the race. going into turn 9 squeezed the lever an nadda, thought i was going to die, thank god for rear brakes. i was in 4th when it happened would have been my best finish ever, instead i limped back to the checkered in 9th
-went out for friday practice on a damp track with new, unscrubbed DOTs and a peaky 2-stroke. highsided in 10 on my pit out lap, breaking my elbow.
I don't know what you are talking about, I still can't wheelie.
Ran out of gas twice.(Once Novice once Junior)
High sided in the rain while leading a race by around 45 seconds.(Novice)
Forgot to check shifter linkage, lost shifter ran rest of race in 3rd gear.(novice)
Doing GT Races on tons of of Jaeger and beer and 2 hrs of sleep.(Lotsa times)
There are others but I can't remember them...

G-man, you just reminded me of another one of my brilliant moves. I was riding my little 3-wheeler with my leathers half on. The arm of my leathers got sucked into the rear tire and proceeded to suck me in with it. The next thing I knew, I was on the ground with a trike on top of me. I got some nice rash too! and, of course, I did it in front of an audience![]()
Does the track include the infield?
One rainy night I was boozing with peter and Deb, they told me I should just setup my tent in the empty garage next to them. So I ride i a lightless walmart pocketbike back to the tunnel, strap my tent and sleeping bag to me with bungee cords and start riding back to the garage. I'm flat out on the bike in the pitch dark and just as I'm thinking 'I can't see the road', WHAM! Head on into a barrel. I had a hard time finding my tent and sleeping bag. Strapped them back on and putted the rest of the way to the garage.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
