The checkered came out, I was in another world! No one was signaling to pit in so I just got back on the front and kept going! You should have seen the face on the flagman (dont kno his name) when I was approaching turn 1!! lol!!!
Talk about feeling like a fucking jackass!!!!
The gate was open prior to hitting turn 3, and I was praying he didnt cut me a new asshole!
He was very kewl about it!
If all else fails, Lean more....

Let's just say I was still "in the zone" after the checkered came out during my Rookie Race.
Against the advice of others, I rode some slicks in the wet and ended up getting bitten by T2 right about the time I said to myself "okay, this is my last lap"...
my answer is "stay tuned" as my first time on road course will be this weekend. From reading this though, I am going out with a FULL tank of gas
motocross:
- getting stuck in the gate (sucks but everyone does at one point)
- almost holeshoting then stalling in a corner with huge braking bumps 5 turns in while in 2nd
-this one is only personally embarassing (inside) but showing up to my first race of the year, having not ridden since the season before and getting f'd in the sign up line...misssing practice so my first time on dirtbike for 08 was on starting line for first moto![]()
Ran out of gas (cool down lap, luckily)
Stalled on start (back row, thank god)
Tried to follow John G into turn 3.
First ever rain race, rookie season. Raced on DOTs. May 2006 (the monsoon when they cancelled Sunday's races), 50 degrees. I finished DFL.
I watched that monsoon rookie race in '06, that was brutal!! I remember that they ended up cancelling the races the next day due to flooding. I was cheering on my friend in that rookie race . . . when she finished, she said "at least I didn't come in DFL." Way to take one for the team, dude!![]()

1. ran out of gas (hi keira)
2. crashed out of 1st place in rain with a 15sec lead and only one other entry in my race (hi jane)
3. sat with wookie discussing today's struggling economy while first wave launched - we were in wave 1 as well, not 2 (hi wookie)
4. almost 12 o'clocked my launch and was lucky enough someone got a photo of my white booties dangling(hi meggy)
5. got the wholeshot into T1 only to find my left clip-on wasn't tightened - holy shit!!! (hi keira)
6. got my white flag lap and made an amazing pass on Scott Greenwood exiting turn 2, yah it was a cool down lap and i missed the checkers (hi scott)
there's more i'm leaving out and year one isn't over - I should take up knitting

ha. don't feel bad, i crashed out of second place during a GT with about 3 laps to go. first place had about a 10-15 second lead on me. i thought i could catch him..... with about 3 laps remaining.
but i did it as an AM with a few seasons under my belt. nothing quite as humiliating as trying to be a hero and failing.

I tried to jump on the back of Clayton's bike between turns 10 and 11.... I was trying to see if we could BOTH get 1st place plaques.... didn't work out so well![]()

-Lost the rear in the bowl, convinced I was down but somehow saved it and ended up in the grass. The dumb part: I was so happy with myself for my acorbatics that I jumped right back onto the track without looking....in front of people at speed...oops! No incident fortunately!
-Due to some slight fatigue, I continued for "just one more lap" after missing pit in when I wanted to take it. Instead of checking up a little for my last lap I decided to finish with a bang...and I did. Being tired I didn't grab enough brake into the bowl and all hell broke loose:

Supa Motarded! If you see me backin it in, keep watching...Im about to crash

I almost forgot... I crashed out of first in turn 11 on lap 7...Was tired and didn't get off the bike in the corner. Lowsided to 11a, in my excitement I got up and dodged a couple experts to get to the bike, Picked the bike up IN THE LINE and tried to start it. All the while getting yelled at to get out of the line (I had no clue what he was saying and couldn't hear him with all the bikes wizing past me.
Finally got it out of the line and started and finished 2nd to last after cruising around in third for the final lap (Shift lever had snapped off)
I got a nice talking to.![]()

i was in 1st but the guy in 1st for F40 was in front of me. i could see him braking for T3 as i was exiting T2. i put my head down to get more "aerodynamic", i looked up just in time to see i was heading for the wall. i turned just in time but smacked the wall broadside. i hit my arm, knee slider, boot, footpeg, snapped my rear brake off, frameslider, barend and bodywork. how i didnt hit the front brake lever is beyond me as that would have been disastrous. i kept it together and ended up passing him![]()
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

update before last weekend of my first year:
-First race weekend sat on the line when the green flag waved
-one of last weekends still in novice thought the race was over when infact the white flag waved and I gave thumbs up to cornerworks for 3/4 of the last lap wondering why no one would return it...then got on the gas for 10-12 and won the race by a tiny bit
-last weekend lwsm, an sv lapped me on inside of 1a so I got spooked and drifted wide, where another sv was lapping me and he turned in and clipped my front wheel and I almost went down
-O and somehow getting a flat tire at my only trackday ever![]()
