This is kind of sweet, after almost 18 years, A person located me, that recently purchase my old Dragbike. He plans to restore it, and keep it as a museum piece!
Way cool! He EMailed me, and I took a ride to see it, and took some pics....Just think the last time this bike raced was in 1984. It still runs too!

That's the bike you set some records on, right? Do they still stand?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Jay,
The records were set back in 1983 and 84.
They were set with the NMRA which was the bike version of the NHRA. Then NMRA folded, and the records are there forever.
The best the bike ran was 11.08 @ 121 mph.
Which was pretty blistering for a 350!
The best I saw in the class before I got into it, was an 11.83 set by a 750...
So, it was pretty exciting, that I could run almost a full second faster than what the National record was.
The records I set, were at 11.40 and 11.44 mph was only 112! Well, didn't need to destroy the records because I had to run on the index set by the records. So..we slowed the bike down, just to get the record, and keep the index within reach.

Pretty cool man! You own a bit of history now. Not too many people can say that.
