Oh sure, now you guys tell me that....
Thanks for the heads up on the DashWare software ... will get that underway.
I figured the dl/ul/import/export from/to the units would be the same, as well as the data manipulation w/in the software.
I guess I'll ask justin & brett how they mounted theirs ... and then do something completely different.
If it needs to be somewhat vertical, maybe mount to part of the gauge face.![]()

I got the code, but they tell me that if I use it ... DashWare Qstarz edition it will embed a Qstarz logo permanently onto all the videos I make. I looked on your video, but don't see it ... did they impose this condition on yours too? Btw, the software is now $40 with the code.

No. Nothing is made for you.
Sell it to me for $3.00.
Seriously, unfortunately I don't think qstars supports anything but Windows.
Others will correct me or inform you of "alternatives".
Do you have VMware or parallels? I have to use windows programs on my work MacBook, so I get one paid for, but otherwise it's $50 or so for one of those, plus the cost of the windows OS....
...that's how I got my QStarz to work though. The "mac software" that came with it seemed to be garbage.

818? Isn't that a receiver only? What are you using to log the data? Your phone?
QStarz software does not run on a mac.
Buy me a BT-Q1000ex and I'll write you some (very rudimentary) software that works on a mac.
