Christian Cronin, #225. Drops into the 12s this weekend, puts on a hell of a show with Shane and Cory (sp?), and wins Race 12 yesterday!
I didn't stay to watch race 12, anyone care to post up some play by play?
Couldn't happen to a nicer kid. Congrats!![]()

dude, the kid is absolutely on fire. By far the most exciting racing I've seen up there this year... I couldn't help but laugh watching him put the moves on ScottG going into T3 yesterday haha.
Not bad for a kid that barely cracked the 14's last year.![]()
ya I wish I saw that, never realized til he pulled in and rev'd his bike that he was in garage right behind me

You should have seen the two of them in the Bowl. I just got the chills again.

He's 20... started racing around the same time I did (2006). He and I battled a lot coming up through the ranks, last year he was a hair faster than I managed to get...just cracking into the 14's. In daytona last fall he did pretty well overall and had some respectable finishes in the ASRA races, then in the spring he managed to get some top 5's down there.
Then he jumped on the 08 R6 hes been building all winter and found 2 more seconds haha.
He got Scott off the line, but it only lasted for the first lap or so before Scott took the lead. EVERY lap Christian came up on the inside of him coming into T3 and almost had the pass every time but Scott wasn't giving him an inch. On the 6th lap or so Christian finally made it deep enough into T3 that he got by Scott but ran a little wide, Scott took him on the inside of T4 but didn't get quite the drive because of the pass and I think Christian got him going over the hill into the bowl and managed to hold him off for the rest of the race.

Really good kid, works for Nate Sanel with my GF's mother at National Powersports.
I was laughing when Eric asked "who ARE you?" after the April Dash for Cash. He made it up there last year, but was definitely under the radar.
I told him it's great to see him F'n FLYING this year, and even leading SG for a few laps earlier in the day. He was mounting new tires and skipped race 9..."I want fresh rubber for Race 12" he says..."I want to beat Scotty".
Whoa - now that's a pretty tall order (I say to myself). Little did I know he'd pull it off, and do it with 7 laps in the 12s.
The pic posted up shows spankin' new pucks on his new leathers - didn't even drag a knee in T1 or T2 before that shot was taken. Can't wait to see how he does in the ASRA series.

The kid is fast as fuck and down to earth, very chill to talk to... his dad is very nice too and is the owner of the egg shell restaurant with the good breakfast right near the track.
I'm rooting for him for sure!
And god damn... beating Scotty G is no joke... that was some awesome racing.
Go CC!

Seriously nice kid. Seemed very cool and easy to talk to. I remember seeing him pass me in practice a few times last season looking less than in control. Smooth as glass now!
Christian has made huge strides since last season. He is on a good bike that is well set up and is a very good rider.
Race 12 was alot of fun ... good, clean, hard racing. Too bad a Expert Thunderbike rider couldnt hold his line on the last lap.... I wanted one more shot at him!
Congrats to him... he was ALL smiles afterwards!
