it was at the start. i dont think my brake lever was hit. i was just hit hard. i remember getting hit, the bike wobbling, then i was tumbling down the straight with bike #301 coming right at me.
this was yesterday's AM GTO race (race #1).
my ankle is a little sore, stiff neck, and it feels like someone punched me in the back ribs.
i was able to get back out in that race after some zip ties, duct tape, and the help of Degsy, Pigman, and Frenchy. I finished that race, as well as the other 3 i was entered in for yesterday.
Wow. That could've been ugly.
Strong work Jimmy.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
I was working in 1.....watched the whole thing.....adrenaline was pumping so hard that I almost fell over with relief when I saw you get up......took me two more races to calm down from that.
That is not how I like my starts...

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
i remember running down the straight after my bike, with the sole in my boot 1/2 ripped off. it felt like i was running with a flipper on my foot.
tossed on some duct tape around the boot, couple of zip ties on the bike, and i was back out there for that race.
That's wild. Good work on getting back in.

I had no idea that happened and I was right in front on you. Nobody said anything about it and we were talking about the starts after the race. Good to see your ok.

After talking to officials yesterday. There's a rule specifically for the GT races stating that all repairs must be done in pit row. Once you go to the garages, you're basically DQ'd.
It sucks to do 8 races this weekend and lose the points I needed, but it's my fault for not knowing the rules.
glad you're ok Jim!!!
HOLY CRAP. Glad you are ok that could have been ugly.
