Are we allowed to just head out there and check it out. I want to spend some time walking the track tomorrow after I get through reg and tech. Who do I gotta pay off?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
$10, I'll make sure they get it.
-Yes. No on Thur. because of bi-cycles.![]()

You gonna be around friday night Danny boy? Feel like going for a stroll? It dropped a good 5 seconds for us in PA.

If you can walk the track I'm definately gonna stroll a lap on it tomorrow night.
I keep thinking I see my "Marks" on the track, but its comes and goes by so fast.....I find myself asking..."Was that where I wanted to start turninng??"
That can be a big help.

hrm..
my girlfriend plans on running around the track Saturday morning. You know.. around 7am.. guess who gets to ride around with her on their bicycle...
Look for me doing two things:
1: Attempting to manual down the hill into turn 6
2: Puking in turn 8 after I pedal up the hill out of 6

Yeah I like other endangered species rather than penguin. I looked all over the site and I could only find the cost for a track day.

I usually walk the track in the evening before dinner. I did it religoiusly for the first few years I raced, now I do it when I have some free time.
It's really helpful, not to just have someone show you their marks, but to begin to make YOUR plan for each corner. The more detail in your plan, the less you get scared or suprised.
That eventually yields faster times, but then you might need to change your plan a little. It's a moving target, not static.
Jay, I planned on walking or maybe taking the MTB out on the track Friday after practice, so I'll join ya.
I still love the smell of burnt racing fuel in the morning!
So how come no one wants to do this at a Tony's Track Day?

Workload for sale. Job sale possibility. Caretaker needed for housework and entertaining kids. I need some time back.
A steady job and a family has ruined many a good biker.
cuz i'd rather ride during the hour it takes to thoroughly walk the trackOriginally posted by smoothwaterman

When you're paying $200 to ride at a trackday you don't waste it walking around, fine if you want to waste your time but what about the other 90 people that paid to ride. Like these guys have said, you can walk it any race weekend. If you come up I'd be glad to walk it with you and point out anything I could. Gary, maybe I can borrow a bike from someone while I'm up there, otherwise you'll get your first chance to lap me!
