If the approach was straight how many cars could a Motard jump using the tunnel? It would make for a grand entrance!
A bunch

How much you wanna bet I can jump this bike over them mountains.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

As you may have noticed, there was very little infield available for camping/pitting this last weekend. Even worse, one of the largest swaths of unmolested real estate was roped off for a circus tent setup... So when people began arriving Friday evening, they were trying to pack into limited space like sardines in an inappropriately sized can. Normally there are lots of pavement swaths available to pit on so you're not working on grass/mud, but that wasn't the case this time due to the majority of the infield roads being closed.
One racer setup his bike on the edge of the road so he could do some last minute repair/prep work for Saturday. Around 10pm or so, the new rent-a-fuzz came patrolling by, and started laying into this guy for being in the road. The racers in the area fought back saying there wasn't anywhere else open, and they'd be damned if they were going to work on their bikes in the mud. A couple rounds of this went back and forth after which our fresh young security guard tried to up the ante by threatening to call in Nate. More bickering, I got bored and resumed watching bad sci fi/horror via netflix and didn't catch the rest of the discussion.
In the morning, there weren't any bikes on the pavement?
If there isn't more infield for the next weekend, and turnout isn't supressed like it was last weekend... I expect full on fisticuffs to break out.

Traffic was slow on RT 106
Last year somebody got all riled up about Nate and wanted to know who to contact in order to get him fired. I don't know how far it went, but Johnny Boudreau came up with this site: http://www.n8isgr8.com/Home_Page.php
At the SCCA event between our first two events, somebody in the infield did about $1,000 worth of damage to the equipment, I am told. The "new" Security Cops Bette sent in aren't new, they are usually used for the major events. I've seen them at every Loudon Classic for a few years now. And I believe that they might be higher up than Nate in the pecking order.
The tent was set up for hosting two BBQ's during the Vintage Celebration, it will be gone by the next event. For the six days of that event, there was NO infield camping at all, everyone was set up out in the K Lot opposite the tunnel entrance and the tunnel was closed off at about 10:00 each evening.
Wanda and Mel are pushing for Turn 1 to be ready for the next event. They were the driving force behind delaying tearing it up until after the last event. I'll try to get Wanda to keep us up to date with accurate reports directly from her as far as what is ready and what is not.
