There will be another indoor series at Maine Indoor Karting this winter.
Details are still being hammered down but here's the current theory:
It's going to be a 5 week series, racing every other week Sundays at 6pm. Two classes, Limited (Up to 85cc) and Unlimited. The league will be limited to 16 people, registration is $140 up front. The first 16 registrations get in, and from that point forward just show up, sign in and ride on the 5 points nights. (Works out to $28 a night, cheaper than last year.)
If there is enough draw for it, we'll be able to run practices on alternating Sundays.
The plan is to repeat the series a few weeks after the first ends, so we have racing right up till the outdoor series get rolling again in spring.
MIK has brought in new barriers so all the potential crumple zones are now covered, and is really keen to have us back. Let me know if you're game and I'll update as more details are finalized. Looking to start a couple weeks into December.
Front, rear, and do you have stock rims still?
If you're on stock rims, shove a Michelin Pilot Sport SC up front, 120/70R14 I believe, in back you can either go 120/80R12 or 100/90R12, the 120s are easier to find, but the 100s will give a better profile and are a little lighter so you're slightly faster.
Yah, I called a few places with the suggestions you gave me in the other thread. Apparently some of those tires have been discontinued and will be replaced in the spring and it seems like no one has any stock.
Dunlop TT92s should be available shortly, Sava MC31s are available as we speak for a bit more. No word on Bridgestones. The Michelin Pilot Sport SCs should be readily available.
id like to get into it but finding traction in there was tough for me.
when is the $140 due by?
id like to get another set of rims so i can ride on the ice this winter.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

I'm not sure when money collection will start or what the due date is, once that's nailed down I'll spam it everywhere.
As far as traction, there is none. : ) You just learn to ride through it.
(Ok, I take that back, there is more traction at MIK than there was in Cycles 128's warehouse by far.)

Ok, so the price has been locked in at $140 for the 5 week series, points races every two weeks. In between the race weekends will be open practices under a pay to play arrangement, dunno what the cost per day will be.
MIK is looking to get this rolling on Dec 16th, starting things off with a practice so everyone can get a feel for the track. I believe thats when the $140 for the 5 race nights will be needed.
