1:42 Jeff Wood joins Josh Hayes as temporary teammates on the Team Westby Racing / Kneedraggers.com R6 to take a shot at the AMA Daytona 8-Hour race. Wood and Hayes team up with Westby Racing regulars Dane Westby and Dustin Meador and this video shows Jeff and Josh getting up to speed in Friday's practicies.

Pete: Jeff was 2 seconds off Josh and 1 off Dane's times with a 55.5. For ref Jeff did a 52.3 on his Kawi to out q Dane yesterday in asra q and did a 51.1 last year on his R6. He got about 7 laps yesterday (not in a row) and is still coming to grips with the bike. Hasn't been on R6 in a year and is real worried about 'firing someone elses bike down the road'. He was beating himself up pretty good about his times but will be fine come racetime. Each stint is 40 minutes long and each rider will get two or so. Plenty of time to get going.

Gonna be good/tough battle against the M4 Cardenas/DiSalvo/Ulrich team

Jeff be back on the bike in about 30 mins. Dustin out next then Jeff. Took Jeff a few laps to get comfy on the R6 but once he did he reeled in DiSalvo super quick.
