i'd have to say HeSoSlidesonhisass has the most crash experience in that suite & i'm suprised he hasn't chimed in yet... I know he's posted some comments about it. you can probably find em if you use the search button.
if i remember correctly, I think he basically said somethin like "awesome leather, mediocre stitching" and he's had his restitched a couple times.
IMO it's still a good suit for the money.

surprised i haven't chimed in and described the kangaroo motogp suit? Maybe you and doc should check around post number eight and read the threads before posting in them.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
I'm not the one lookin for info about this suit, I'm just tired of hearing Doc ask the same questions about it & figured you hadn't posted yet.
I look at recent posts, not ones made amost a month ago. But obviously my post helped, cuz you pointed out your opinion on it so maybe he'll see it & shut up now, eh?![]()

Just got both my Joe Rockets speedmasters back from Barnacle Bills. The front zipper opened from the bottom up at Summit during a race this September. Found out when I sat up to break wide open on the R6. Nice surpriseOriginally posted by highsider
Otherwise, most of the the major brands mentioned work well. Personally, I would avoid Joe Rocket, only because I have heard stories of seams and zippers falling apart.![]()
I felt a draft on my hip on the others just standing there. The stiching blew out.
I went with Vanson because the 4 guys I team with have tested them and swear by them. Since both mine fell apart, the folks at Vanson put mine together pretty quickly to get me in something for the last weekend. So far I'm happy.
You can make a difference!

I crash tested Tecnic full suit I got from Street and Comp for about $750. Turns 1, 1A, 2, 4, and 10. It held up good thru the season but will send it to Barnacle Bills to repair some sleight damage ( a spot on butt wore thru, one elbow seam )

Stupid SPAM shit....^^^^
Anyhow my experiences:
Fieldsheer: Overall budget stuff. Had a FS jacket that I lowsided my streetbike in and the leather held up pretty well actually. Otherwise stay away unless you get em for like $40.
Joe Rocket: Have a lower end Joe Rocket Highside suit I picked up for short money. It's okay but the build quality isn't nearly as nice as higher end suits. It's pretty heavy and has a damn fair amount of battle damage, all from pocketbike and minimotard crashes (sub-40mph) Even so it's pretty beat. Rather not roadrace my motorcycle in it.
Dainese: Have a nice Dainese, build quality is great, lighter, great fit and cut. Have had two lowsides in it, almost the same type of fall (left side lowsides sliding on thigh and ass) and it's held up pretty well. The armour built in is very nice and I felt 100% after both getoffs.
Teknic: Fucking crap. See far too many 'blow up' after mild lowsides on the track. Extremely unimpressed.
Barnicle Bill: Have worked with him on a few occations for both the Joe Rocket and the Dainese. Great to work with, fair prices and excellent work. Highly recommended. http://www.racingleather.com/home/home.html
