Buddy of mine got some last minute Nascar tickets so I spend the day at Loudon. When we got there in the morning, the Legend cars where out racing on their new 1/4 mile "oval". Here are some pics showing how they turned our 1-1A-2 and Nascar 1 and 2 into their track.
Anyways, I thought they were fun too watch (although they couldn't go more than a few laps without someone bringing out the yellow!) so I don't think it will be a bad thing to have them race with us once were are done on Saturdays...

That looks pretty cool. Will be cool to have them milling around with us too.

Well, they could fit in there with the Nascar circus going... They shouldn't displace anyone but maybe the T1A tenants...

sounds like we might have a fight on our hands. We claimed it first, i even pee'd on it to mark it.
We ran a Legends race during the Vintage Celebration road course days last May. They used the entire road course for that race. During lunch hour, I handed off Starter duties to their guy and Tom Blanchette personally ran Control for the qualifying session.
When I wrapped up the day's motorcycle/sports car activities, we handed off to those guys again for the final race. Before the lunch hour, I didn't even notice that they were there. They were all kitty cornered into the area around the Turn 1A Gate, pretty much the area that I think is off limits right now.
The whole thing went off smoothly, Tom was slick as shit in the Tower. I don't see any negatives in the whole deal. We used to see racing on Saturday nights in the 1/8th mile oval at Bryar back in the 80's.
We once saw a Legends race down at Municipal Stadium in Daytona. The organizers provided six cars for motorcycle racers. Three dirt trackers (Parker, Carr and Morehead) and three roadracers. (Russell, Polen and Quarterley) It was a great show! Quarterley finished seventh, the top bike guy. He would have done much better if he had concentrated on racing instead of taking other cars out.
I told Tom about that race and he hinted that there might be a spot for one or two of our LRRS Top Guns in the program.

Looks cool, should add a little variety to the mix and some nightly entertainment.
I wonder if they'll bring hot sluts with them...probably more than the current t1a crew.
You guys should have a dance-off for that area.

I basically said t1a can't dance better than the legends dudes, nor can they pick up hot sluts.

Jayroot they're about $5k ready to roll.
If I had any leftover $$ I'd seriously think about getting one...but I don't.

Anyone have any current pics or reports? Were they good neighbors?

I caught a little bit of the practices. I thought they were cool to watch. We watched from the 1A gate in in the infield. They're only a couple feet from you...As they're drifting around the turn 3, it looks like they're going to hit the barrier (as possibly you!)...
I can't wait to see them when it's nicer our, from the granstands, with some beer in hand!
I asked one of the drivers how big the cars were and he said they all had 750 yamaha's motors and couldn't weigh more than 1500 lbs.?
they sure didn't sound like that!
anyway, they were kinda fun to watch
1200cc liquid cooled inline 4 Yamaha FJ motors. I can't remember if it's sealed or unsealed motors that are allowed 1250cc with lower compression... I think it's sealed motors, and US Legend Cars has told all prior approved sealed motor rebuild shops 'FU, we're doing all sealed motors in house now' in January?
