The first one did not include both forms, Wanda kept getting error messages when she tried to resend the correction, but apparently they all got through.

Just as a note, as this was not done in the past, the staff is are putting an effort to do the right thing this year by including the Amateurs in the presentation. So, if any of you won an Amatuer championship, I understand that you will be all called up together on stage and will get a token of appreciation for your efforts. They've never done this before, and more than whatever you get to take home for your efforts you will get recognized in front of the crowd and will get to call yourself an LRRS champion.

I applaud these efforts as I feel that the guys that came all year and finished well as Amateurs deserve to be recognized. Next year, Amatuers will go into the year knowing that they are competing for Amateur Championships, which give them solid goals to shoot for and things to tell their sponsors about. All in all - this is definite step in the right direction.

I hope to see everyone there this year!

nice. its about time, I'm not sure about other CCS regions but I know WERA gives Amateur (they call them novice) Championships.

Anyone bringing the wife or s/o? I'm guessing it's not much fun for the womens, but my wife had talked about wanting to meet some of my racing buddies, not sure if that's a good idea or not .

True....but someone in the chain of command nixed them a while ago. We made some efforts to get that changed, and they have responded. It's a good decision on their part....

Brady there are plenty of womenfolk that attend - track wives, girlfriends, corner marshalls, racers. It's as close to a family event as this group can handle. That said, not knowing her, she may get very bored with awards, bench racing and all things motorcycle.

Thanks, wasn't really worried about the crowd or the event, just hoping there would be enough people for her to talk to that weren't just jonesing or bench racing. I think I'll make it a date, we'll have to introduce ourselves (and I still don't have a truck or trailer...).
