Hey - can one of you super fast racer guys post a link to a "normal" race schedule? I'm trying to race this season, all while keeping the peace at home, so I'm trying to see if it would be feasible to only race Saturday or Sunday, thereby not killing an entire weekend. If I was able to do 2 core races and some practice on either of those days I would probably be a happy camper.
I'll probably be in an SV class if that helps.
I don't have a link for you, but with a LW bike that is SS-legal, yes you would be able to do 2-3 races per day and still stay within the LW brackets. IIRC, even as a Novice you'd have two races on both days (though I could be wrong on that - but just get yer arse to Amateur sooner)

(I don't classify an anything near fast, but I do have some schedules...)
They actually mix them up a bit, intentionally, but it should be possible to do 2 races and a couple practices in one day, in general.

Yep, even a middle weight novice can do 2 races per day (generally).

Cool, thanks guys! Actually, the LRRS office people are accepting my OMRRA license, so they're putting me right into Amateur (or possibly Expert, not sure).
I don't know if NESR can handle another West Coast Expert racer...

I'm not sure if I'm reading this statement correctly, but my experience at NHMS when racing with LRRS is, you get a first and second practice block in the morning both Sat and Sun, with each being split into speed appropriate groups. It is outlined in the LRRS rulebook with specific times. One bike, one weight division, one race, you still get to run both AM practices. Hell, that's all some people ever do.

Bear in mind, I've only done one round of races. But last October they only ran one practice on Sunday, not 2. We also raced before noon and were done earlier than 'normal'. Word had it they wanted to try to do that more.
Usually two practice session on Saturday. One for 8 minutes and another for 12.
One practice session for 12 or 15 minutes on Sunday.
These ^ numbers might be a bit off but pretty close for sure.
You can do penguin school/practice on Fridays for around $250
Or open practice on Thursdays for I think $150?
As Steve said your practice goes per bike. Some bikes usually have common practices if they run similar times. Practice for the weekends is included in your cost of signing up for racing. So you sign up for one race you can do both practices on Saturday and your sunday one.
Will it be one practice or two on Saturday?
In anticipation of me completing basic school and rookie race, is the 2nd rd schedule going to be the same as 1st rd? LRRS has not posted the 2nd rd schedule that I can find anyways.

No. There is a new, different schedule. Ask Smutty about it, he is a big fan. As a novice you probably don't care as I don't think any of the changes effect you. Let me see if I can find a link....
