Very nice write-up.

Just a note - the D tire is a special order only. Michelin as a rule will not supply it except around Daytona time. It is not suitable anywhere else.
Also - it did not mention that a 200 series rear is now available.

And here is the 2010 Sportbike tire shootout in case you haven't already read it: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/545/82...omparison.aspx
I saw that. They should have used the Power Pure. It is a more advanced piece of technology more on par with the Q2 and such.
The Power One Commercial was inappropriate for that test.

I really do not think that the Q2 should have been lined up with the 003RS' and the Power Ones. I believe that the NTECs should have been a better match with them. Regardless, I do submit that the Power Pures, should be on par with the BT016 and the Q2s.
Althought the 2010 shootout results show similar lap times for the 003RS's, Power Ones, and Supercorsas, as stated in my earlier post I believe that the 003RS' deliver more grip per dollar spent.
Is the 003RS a street tire, or street / trackday tire?

Street / trackday use. The rear is thre compound (harder in the middle, then medium then softer on the edges) and the front is dual compound.
I used BT003RS' on my 08 1000RR and I bought them again for my 600rr because I really really like them. Since I only have a track only bike now I thought it makes sense to upgrade to a full race (probably slick) tire.

The why compare the Q2 in that group? That doesn't make any sense.
