Hi Dave
Is the slick a "track day" or "race" tire?
Bob
Michelin no longer makes a "track day" tire, so slicks are classified as a race tire.
There was supposed to be a track day tire called the "Power Track" but they never released it into large scale production.

Will they offer a 160 rear in any version?
No 160 in the Cup.
It was not a popular tire for them. We sell far more 16/63 Supermotard.
As these classes progress, you will start to see the 180 going away. In a few years max, it will be 190 and 200 being the vast majority of fitments.
It's already happening based on sales numbers.

Kind of cool that there's a VA and VB front... I don't think there were 2 compounds for the Power One V front was there?

The A and B were 5 ply tires, round shape.
The V was a 4 ply, V shape.
The V front was 10 to 1 in sales to the other fronts.
The VA and VB are 4 ply, but with a big redesign to give more feel a long with a new compound. It was at least 1.5 seconds faster at the GNF last fall.

I tried the V last season for a couple of weekends... I liked it alot, especially the quick turn-in, but I never set up my bike's geometry to compensate for the taller profile so I went back to the reg. B front. I'd like to try the new one for sure, but this time w/the right set-up.
