    Well...I spent today dabbling with the www.nesrracing.com web site. I downloaded all the source code to my home computer, set up the FTP update process, and installed HomeSite on my PC. As a test, I updated the News and the Crew Information and now have the updating process working smoothly.

    I now need all the racers to start working on their new bios. I need to update those.
    I also want input/suggestions on how we can make the site more useful. Please give it some thought and we can discuss at our next team meeting. One thing I want to work on is a better way to display the race results. I would like to develop some sort of online spreadsheet that will be updated after each race weekend. That way, you can download the spreadsheet and do your own analysis on the data. If I get ambitious, I may set up a MS Access database with some canned reports, etc.

    OK...I'm finally catching up with the nesrracing updates.

    I have updated Degsy's bio and have added two links after his name for two pictures he sent me. Degsy...I took the liberty of resizing the pictures for the sake of those still on dial-up connections. I could always add more links if you want...such as links to "large" pictures and "smaller" pictures. (so those with cable modems could choose the large ones, and those on dial up could choose the smaller ones) What do you think ??

    I need bios from the other racers and picture(s) to post. If your favorite pictures happen to be on hard copy (not electronic) you can snail mail them to me and I'll scan them in.

    When I get some more time, I plan to update the thumbnail pictures beside the bios, and make some changes to the "results" page.

    OK...made some updates to the team bios and added some more pictures on the bio page. Also updated the sponsor page.
    Sounds like Heath has some good ideas for the team page...more on that as things solitify...

    OK...I'm starting to have fun playing around with this stuff.
    I put together a short pix show with some shots from this past season and put it on the main www.nesrracing.com page. I kept the images small so the page will load up in a reasonable time, even with a dial up connection. (about 15 seconds)
    I would like some feedback. Is it too much? Too corny? should I put it on a different page, or eliminate it ?

    I like that feature. I think the pics could be a tad bigger and the duration a bit longer for each pic but I do like it alot.
