What gauge safety wire should I buy for my ex500? I am looking online for the safety wire plyers and a spool of safety wire but they have three different gauges.

Buy the middle gauge size. It will accomodate all your needs.
Its strong enough and you won't have to drill huge holes in all your bolts to get it through.
I would personally suggest buying the smallest safety wire pliers, just because they are the cheapest and I'm really not sure how the bigger pliers benefit anything.
Just my opinion, I'm sure someone can tell you why the larger pliers are a better choice for certain jobs.
Check out some of the vendors on the LRRS website, I know Woodcraft is pretty popular....obviously.

.032 is the best size to use,,,,, .020 is too thin and the thicker stuff is a bear to use....I have several rolls kicking around in peabody if anyone needs some...I work at GE so we use safety wire all the time....
