When we get there in the morning... where do we set up? In the garages like at Tonys track days? Or where we plan on pitting for the weekend?
I am guessing the latter cause the racers are probably going to be setting up there pits in the garages.
Do they provide any drinks or food like Tony does?
Damn... Tony spoils us.

No drinks, no food. Have something quick ready for lunch because you're going to be a busy man. Make sure your bike is 100% ready to go. Topped off with gas. Might want to park your truck near the penguin garage, garage 1, with everything you need. That's where you'll meet/sign up. You can't setup in the garages, they're rented out. Setup your pit and bring everything you need for the track and school and bike. Bring a binger/folder for the junk they give you. Bring a pen or two, water and some snacks. Oh, and money.
edit: well I thought you couldn't setup in the garages.
Mike, what about people who have them rented and are doing friday practice? I'd be moterately bothered if i went to my garage to setup friday and it was full of someone elses stuff.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
As others have said, get your pit set up, and have your bike 100% ready to go. They don't give you many breaks at all during the day. Be prepared to be in your leathers all day long. Registration for the school opens at 7:30am, School starts around 8:30/9:00am.
I'm getting up there around 6-7:00pm tonight, and setting up so I don't have to hustle tomorrow AM.
They should call Production Twins what it really is, Shitty McBikefest. Rules for Participation: If your bike runs lower laptimes than a lawnmower, you are not eligibile for Shitty McBikefest. -Darrell

oh that reminds me of another question... when should we suit up? after the classroom session?

You do one classroom session regular then suit up do some laps then do another classroom where they discuss things. Then you go out and do follow the leader runs i think 2x more.

I think suiting up in first thing in the morning is overkill. Drive your truck/pitbike down to class and it'll give you plenty of time to get back to the pits/change and be ready.
As I said in my PM, lunch is no funny business. I was the idiot who thought he had time to get back, make pasta, eat it, then head out. Yeah.....nice thought.....
The checkered flag was NOT open when I went through Penguin. Bring your own food and drink!

Technically, the garages are rented for Sat and Sun only. You can use them during the school. Usually when a "racer" comes in, they will politely ask you to move. You can say f%$# off if you want to, but everyone is usually cool.
Oh, you don't have to wear your leathers in the class room. There is plenty of time to get suited up after. Just pay attention to the announcements all day.
+1 to this I didnt know that people came up on friday so I set up in one of the garages right by tech inspection. About 2pm the guys showed up and were like we rented this garage for the weekend but your cool to stay till the end of class. I did my thing they did theirs. I gotta say for the most part all the people racing are nice/cool/helpful/respectful of other racers.
