Pirelli Contingency and Spec Race

Your Pirelli race tire vendor is MTAG (Motorcycle Tires and Gear) and we are located in the Center garages, closest to the front straight.

We're happy to answer any questions you have about the tires and contingency programs, but please read below because we cannot sign you up for the contingency program... you have to do it!


PIRELLI RACE:

The Pirelli spec tire race (Pirelli Diablo 600 Challenge) will be run every Sunday as Race 6 (as it's own wave).

Last weekend, an Amateur ended up winning it (and the $300!).

The top 3 spots are guaranteed payouts ($300, $200, $150). If more than 8 riders grid up, then it continues paying back to 50% of the field.

Amateurs and Experts are allowed in the race - bikes have to be eligible for MW SuperSport. Gridding is determined by a special timed practice on Sunday morning (after all regular practice has ended). If you miss that practice, you'll be added to the grid by entry time.

The requirements are very simple (Pirelli stickers, Pirelli tires, special contingency form)

The full details and a copy of the form are on the link below. We can also handle at the track, but be sure to do it when you register for the race. (by the way, there is no pre-entry for this - all registration is at the track)

Also, please remember that this race has it's own contingency form and payout.

PIRELLI CONTINGENCY

As a separate entity, Pirelli is also paying out $100,000 in cash to LRRS racers in "regular" contingency. (many races have over $400 being paid out to the Top 4 spots.)

It is up to you to register for Pirelli's contingency program BEFORE the races. This cannot be done at the track after the race!

Basically, you will set up a Debit Card account beforehand, and the cash will automatically go onto that card once LRRS reports the results.

Again, you are not paid in Pirelli tire money... this is cash to do with as you please.

with our "spec" fuel rule i guess no one is pushing the dragon race fuels that your supposed to have stickers for? does the fuel just not matter?

Each item is separate, with Pirelli tires being the only mandatory thing.

In other words, there is more money available in the Pirelli race, but you have to run those items and stickers, etc.
