I think between 0 and 3 of the entries were on kawasaki sv650's and were running the pirelli one's

Now for a serious question - why the small field? That few LW bike run Pirelli?

What bikes can run that race?

Any bike that doesn't exceed MWSS rules that has pirelli tires & pirelli stickers on it can run it.

I think part of it is cuz it's a new race class and also I heard that the normal entry fee is 100 bucks, though it was only 60 this past weekend.

Yeah... very few knew about the race beforehand. We'll have to work harder on getting the info and details out.

If the race is combined with another race, I think it will always be $60 because it is shortened to the standard sprint race.

We've received a fair amount of inquiries, so my guess is you'll see a higher turnout next time.

Everyone summed it up here, but basically, since it wasn't well known in advance, not many people signed up. We told a couple guys about it, and up til the last minute there were only TWO guys on SVs regsitered(one was an amateur!). John Tansey jumped in at the last minute(relatively) to battle with Pete, but Pete paced him during practice, and checked out during the race.

So basically, a race that should have been dominated by experts on 600cc bikes paid out cash money to 2 fast experts on LW bikes, and 1 quick amateur on a LW bike.

I'm guessing next weekend more guys will try to take their share of the prize money.
