Gang,

There is a movement to change the way that we do practice at LRRS. If
implemented, this would be a dramatic change from the way that we do it
now. When we have a proposal ready, I would like to post it here for
discussion and feedback BEFORE we make the changes. The rider reps are
working on it now along with Eric.

What we need now is a membership drive to NEAR so we can get an opinion
from as many folks as possible. Please ask everyone on the other lists
and riders who normally don't bother to participate. Tell them that
most of the real meatballs went away and this might be a useful tool
for feedback.

They can get it digest form and we will title it "practice".

When I have an official proposal, I will post it up here. I would like constructive feedback. We are trying really hard to make this work for everyone. We want everyone to have more quality track time for practice.

"Unequal" practice time has been an issue for a while now, it's cool to see they're trying to address it.

One a side note; is there any time that is good for making a rule change? It seems the more time in advance, the more arguements there are.

Pete, I have an LRRS section on my forums section. I've been trying to get Jerry to post up there, but he hates change. If we get enough people to post there he'll use it. Email him and every one else so we can have one place to post, not dozens of emails and a full in box. Plus those who sneak a peak at work can see it. They wont have to hide emails from the boss.

I started my board because it's neutral, not affiliated with any other site, advertisers or agenda. Also because I'm trusted with in the organization. There is nothing wrong with NESR, but you will never get any LRRS official to post LRRS news here. Every thing you guys get is hear say. We need a place to post official rule changes, announcements, and other news. I've offered it for a year now and the problem is getting Jerry, since he posts more often than any other official, to embrace the BBS system. NEAR is a list serve system. It works ok, but not great for what we need. There are currently at least three BBS's on the web running comments and opinions on the same subject. We need one central location.

i heard from jerry wood that they're gonna add obsticals to make practice more challenging. little kids playing kickball on the front straight, a pool party in the bowl, a shooting range in the chute, and a REAL bus stop in 11a/12.
