What race leathers are you running?

Just curious. did some window shopping online last night. looked a the shift stuff. not to shabby. only 700. normally i wouldn't say that, but i heard the alpinestar et. al. were pushing 2 grand

what r u guys running? how much did it cost? where'd u get it? do u like it? and recomendations?

uhhh... that alpinestars RACE replicas are about 2g's, but my alpinestars GPU 2-piece was 575 shipped.

you can find a good set of new leathers in the 6-800 dollar range, cheaper if used.

I use Vanson.. They are great, a little heavy but I have never had a mark on me after the few get off's I have had.

Plus the factory is in Fall River MA. Easy for repairs and such

I have two suits.

Joe Rocket Highside - $280 very used but sound
Dainese - $400 in excellent shape (about a 1200-1600 suit) Wonderful suit.

I bought both used. Hunt around.

motogp kangaroo suit, 680 brandy new. The leather is great, stiching isn't. It weighs about 1/4 of what a vanson suit does. I'm happy with it.

serious? no way 680! i was at this place, they had a motogp one up. the lady said 2800. i asked her if it was kangaroo, she said no they dont stock those. it was at the montreal motorcycle convention. friggen gougers.

I've used Joe rocket for years. Crashed numerous times on them and never had a real big problem. Spent like 600.00 I think.

i've used Fieldsheer for years--they're a Cali based company + less money than most--they may be cheaper but I have crashtested them MANY times + they lasted about 6 years with no physical damage to me!
I got an end of the year closeout at Brockton cycles for $300.
