Showed up friday, ran open practice. Had fun. Felt comfortable out there. Laughed when Chad rode by on his noise machine. Too bad he blew it up. I'll find a Hawk for ya.

Saturday practice was good, blue group is the way to go. Find an open spot and you will be all alone out there! My race on saturday went pretty lousy. I was gridded on the second row in the 1st wave. I was late for the warm up lap, so I started from pit road. Dammit! They let me go and I diced through the second wave as best as I could. I got halfway through my class and ended up 7th out of 14. Oh well, I got more practice passing people.

Sunday I went out for 1st practice with a rain tire on the front and a DOT race on the back. Bad idea. The rear slid out in EVERY corner. I pitted in on my second lap, screw that. I went and bought a rear rain tire. 2nd practice came up and I was flying. I don't know what my lap times were, but I was zipping by loads of people. I was very confident, perhaps overly so.

Race 6 came up LWGP, Oxx was gridded right behind me. I NEEDED a holeshot. We both got it, but I pulled away, probably due to my false confidence. I set two 44's down on the first 2 laps. I was leading by 8 seconds when I lost the front braking into 1. I slid hard into the cones and tires, along with my bike. I turned around and saw no one. Man, I blew it bad.

I picked up and headed back to the pit. I was in race 14 also, so thanks to a wonderful pit crew, we got it rebuilt.

I went out for race 14, and out of the 4 who were scheduled to race, 2 were there. I knew I was getting a trophy, but I wanted the first. There were so few people out there that they combined the whole group into one wave. I got the holeshot again and was second to a motard by the first corner. I was right on him for the whole first lap, until I lost the front in 11. As I slid, I peeked behind me to see a load of motards looking to run my ass over. I ran to the bike, picked it up and pushed it to the nascar oval. I tore the numberplate off and positioned the clutch lever in the correct place. I was getting a trophy either way. I went back out there and coasted to second place! Out of 2. Oh well, I was getting a trophy. I had fun. The bike is a mess, but it's rideable.

Thanks for everything this weekend!! GINO, GENE, RYAN, ERASMO, but most of all LAUREN. Thanks so much!! See you in a few weeks!!!!
