was a great saturday on the SV-
did some 22's in first practice and I knew if I could get a good launch I could hang with the lead pack with those times.-
race-6- LWSS-
get my good launch and I'm in 4th(i think) going into turn 2. I manage to get by Jersey going down the hill into 6 on the brakes on the outside. I pass one other SV in 8 and then I spend the rest of the race chasing Paul Howard. I was faster than him in 7 and 8 and then also in 11a and 12, but couldn't find a way by him, Need to work on my passing.
on lap 6 we come up on a lapper in the bowl, I pass on the outside going into 8, Paul tries the inside and gets hung up for split second and now I'm first going into turn 9. First time leading a race, ever. My mind is going nuts, I don't know how people lead entire races! lol. guess i need more experience with it. But on lap 7 Paul gets me on the brakes in 3 and I have to run real wide (almost jumped the curb) to avoid contact. I couldn't get past him again and ended up in second .7 seconds behind Paul.
When i led the race i did my best lap ever - 1:21.024.
race -12-
Don't remember all that much of this one other than passing Jersey and another rider on the outside into turn 1. Then I tried to catch up with the 3rd place rider but he was too far ahead. Ended up in 4th place out of 17. more 1:21's in that race.
Hopefully the 1:20's will be here in October. Then I need to decide to stay in AM and start getting some contingency to help me pay for this, or bump to Expert and be mid-pack.
