I know.
doesn't matter but makes for a good story.
well I wasn't specifically told the lower. but if you check out the thread about the paintjob I did say I was gonna drop them on purpose when I picked them up just to get it out of the way. I didn't do it though. I put a nick in the tail when I was getting pissed getting it all mounted up right. I thought that would be enough but it wasn't.
I'm blaming Rich for buffing it to a high gloss shine.
the Woodcraft frame sliders and rear sets kept almost all of the bodywork off the ground, the top corner of the upper is the only part that touched pavement and its mostly covered by the stupid white vinyl I put on there. The other side that stopped against the tires came out worse, there's a small crack that's either just in the paint or outer layer of fiberglass. most of the tire marks came off pretty easily with some brake cleaner.

I took a brand new bike AND leathers to the track... pavement magnets.

I showed up with a pretty, freshly painted bike for the first time ever this weekend. Bike is wadded up, finger is broken. Fuck pretty race/track bikes...
you just don't know how to crash it and keep it looking pretty. I should have went over and thanked Wood for his frame sliders and rear sets cause they kept almost all of my paint off the ground. There's already too much paint in 1a so I didn't wanna add any more.

Shit Brett, I didn't even know you went down! Or at least, I don't remember seeing a bike down...lots of stuff running through my brain last weekend, whoop! Anyway, glad you made it out relatively unscathed!

keep your eyes up. the bike was in the tires just before T2 for nearly 2 laps. So depending on if you were in front of or behind me at the time you saw it once or even twice. yup, a lot was going through my head in that "race" also. thanks, all I got was a bruise on my pinky which was even gone by monday.

I scraped peg and low-sided during the high-speed cornering drill when I first took the MSF course. They failed me, and it was worth it.
