Well, my first MinimotoGP of the year went off amazingly the other day (Monday to be exact) at Loon Mountain. I'm VERY relieved and makes me feel much better about the next 3 (and the Finals) that I have to run over the next 2 weeks. Nonstop on the road between now and the Loudon Classic... good lord.
Anyhow, here are some of the pics.
Rest here: http://www.loonmtn.com/rideloon/redbullminigp.asp
btw: I don't race in these, I run them. Design course, Race Director, MC, Rider meetings, all that crap. Just one of the projects I'm working on with the various field managersFun month.

Some of these people had never been on motorcycles ever. One of the coolest things about doing these is getting people exciting about motorcycle racing that otherwise would care less. Very cool to see them get excited about motorcycles and racing![]()

Hey guys,
Some of you may or may not know but I work for Red Bull. The last few weeks I've been traveling all over the Northeast running our MinimotoGP events. Basically they are minibike races for our top accounts in each region. (bars, nightclubs, etc). Pretty much 95% of the people riding in them have NEVER been on a motorcycle before, and leave the day being super pumped up about motorcycle racing and riding.
Along with being a way to thank our accounts for rocking, it's also a great way to get them excited about the Red Bull MotoGP out at Laguna Seca.
I'd like to invite anyone in the area to come down and watch the races on Monday. I know Monday's are tough... but for the bar/club crowd, it's actually their day off. The June 12th races are not only going to be the Connecticut Qualifier, but also the Regional Finals. The Teams who won the Maine/New Hampshire, Albany, Buffalo, and Vermont Qualifers will all be on hand to race against each other, and the CT Winning Team, to battle for a trip out to MotoGP.
These 'riders' again are all very clueless about our scene and culture, and tend to leave the event pumped up on 2-wheels. I know that having some 'legit' motorcycle riders who show up to watch and cheer them on would have a great effect.
If you'd like to come out, hang, share your love of motorcycle riding, and generally check out the hot chicks (and guys if that's your thing). Here are the details. Also, the RAD Team will be performing some high flying bicycle stuntage.
June 12th
Mohegan Sun Thames Garage Lot
Racing will start around 12:30 and go to around 5'ish
Get there around 3:30 to catch the best action IMO (CT Qualifer Finals and Regional Finals after that)
Come say hi. I'll be the guy running the show and MC'ing the event as well. Here's some pics from the Maine / New Hampshire race 2 weeks ago: http://www.loonmtn.com/rideloon/redbullminigp.asp
Thanks

ps: Oh yea, all the Red Bull you can drink

Chad, you should bring your racebike and minichopper! That chopper would be a hoot riding around the venue.

Looks like you had a great time. I know that you have been planning this for a while. The pay off should be rewarding..![]()
It looks like you have been getting some lap times in. Little Polini/Hawk same thing. Can't wait to see the whole team soon.

ps--Gino, you otts ta buy it for your dad to ride around the pits on
He has the little yellow Tasmanian Devil with 12 hp to show you all up. Although I think since he skinned his knee on the pavement with it, he has shyed away from riding it.
He works for a chopper company. It does not mean he likes them.
