I sold my car to pay for racing.

So I had an 88 Toyota Supra with more money into it than I care to think about and I sold it to a friend (Magna7fity on here) yesterday so I can afford to race. My credit cards never healed from my marriage, and racing just kept the debt coming. I have faced the fact that I am just THAT damned good at spending money, and I just had to do something about it. lol.

I will admit, as sad as I am to see it go, its nice to have all bills paid and have money left over to chip away at the credit cards.

I used to drag race it at Lebanon Valley Dragway in NY weekly, and my best ever was 12.6 @ 117mph. I never once got better than a 2.0 60' to give you an idea of my sweet drag racing skillz. The car is way faster than the driver, just like the 125, I can't launch for shit! Anyway, it was fun while it lasted - 8 years, but I thought I'd share.

quick story...
Dated a girl in HS who's father had a white one. I wanted to drive that car so bad, but I didn't know how to drive a stick. Her father ended up teaching me (after I broke up with her!) on his pick-up truck just so i could drive the Supra. I can still remember finally getting to cruise around in that thing with the top off. It pissed her off to no end because he wouldn't let her drive "his baby", but he let me!! haha

Anyway...at least it's a race weekend!

meh, it's just a car...granted a really spiffy one but it's still better of being converted to race funds. i sold my 76 porsce to fund my racing twords the end of last season. unfourtunatly now i'm out of crap to sell.

All I have to sell to raise money for track riding is a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ over 150K on the clock.
