Let's take a better look at the pic. He's picking the bike up at/before the apex (not at full lean) and is purposely drifting both ends. He will finish the corner as the bike gets vertical--but still moving slightly sideways, then when he needs to shoot off the corner he will modulate the throttle (prolly backing off slightly) OR the TC will do it for him. If he can duplicate this lap after lap it would be the fastest way around the corner (for him, anyways).
If he had taken the "traditional" path he'd have to come in slower, so the bike doesn't slide, get to full lean at the apex, pick the bike up and shoot off the corner. I've read that the MotoGp bikes require ungodly corner speed and saving/shortening any steps from corner entrance to exit almost mandates this technique....especially with TC (which I also have read that CS uses less of)
