First: What are the comparitive benefits of Honda's and Yamaha's 450 bikes?
Second: What classes can you run a supermoto in at Loudon?
Third: What classes would allow a bike converted to a supermono? (If I understand correctly they are not allowed in a GP class since they are dirtbike based)
Boston --> San Diego
The first question was ment as what are the pros and cons of either bike.
check out supermotojunkie.com lots of info there, but what specifics are you looking for? the first question is kind of like "whats better honda 600 or a suzuki 600"
the way i see it, both bikes will require lots of maintence whether you plan on racing it or just having fun with it. high strung 450s eat up alot of time in the pits.

not to thread jack here but how come no one races 2 stroke motards?
I know road racing 2 strokes are different. i came up on a rs250(honda).
but a 250 single bored out or stroked can be done for way cheaper than rebuilding a 450. it should make enough steam no?
As soon as you make it rev and gear it high enough for the straight, it doesn't have much torque, which is the advantage of a motard anyway.
For comparison, I could smoke a CR500 down the straight on my RS125. I don't think a 250 would have much steam...
On a real motard track though...look out!
