Awesome! What's your approach going to be? A GP frame/chasis? Or stock frame and gsxr running gear?
One thing I know is a challenge is cooling. The stock radiators won't have enough volume to keep that motor in the right temp range. Farings and such make it even tougher. I'd focus some attention there from the start.
basically what u do is take the existing motard bike do a few mods to the frt end install rear sets and put on body work im sure its not that simple but should be a blast to ride when done!!
AFAIK you're going to want a longer shock in back so you can rotate the whole chassis forward. The rumor is matching brand 600 front ends 'bolt up'.
Damn I wish I had a 450 I could do this to.
I'll just find a cheap Suzuki Savage 650 to convert to supersingle duty instead.![]()
You don't need a longer shock nor do you need different front end / forks. Race Tech has a whole setup where you mail them your suspension bits and then modify them specially for this program. Roland has been working with them on it.
Again: Race Tech + stock forks + stock shock + USPS = ready to go.
Boston --> San Diego
Now that rocks! That'll drop the cost of entry a good amount.
How much is it for the racetech kit? Is it any better than throwing a stock front end on it?
