    sv650 or an i4?

so i was really looking into getting a gsxr or a 636 as a race bike and I came across this ad for an sv650.
Getting out of racing. I have the Title in Hand. The bike was bought as a street bike with around 5000 miles on it. It probably has less than 6000 total miles on it now. Bike is located in Massachusetts.

Bike is fully safety wired for CCS rules and has the following:
Suspension set up for 190# rider
    Penske Double clicker shock
Race Tech Damper rods and Emulators
    Race Tech springs
Galfer SS brake lines front and back
    Woodcraft sliders
    Woodcraft rear sets
    Woodcraft clipons
M4 full high mount Exhaust wrapped in thermotech
    520 conversion with PBI sprockets
    Hotbodies Race fairings
    BMC race filter
    Dynojet jet kit
    Vortex keyless gas cap
    Stompgrip tank grip
    Cox racing radiator cover
    Spa tachometer with temperature.
    Vortex Fairing stay
    asking $3,500

Sounds like a good deal to me. But I was told by some that I would get bored on an sv650. What do you guys think, should I take advantage of this offer or keep waiting until i have the funds for a better bike?

    *sigh*......

Ask Rick Ducette if he's bored riding his veritable FLEET of SV650 race bikes.... Then go look at how many LRRS class championships he won this year.

If the SV isn't "beneath" R.D. then it's not beneath you.

BTW, who is this guy w/ the SV for sale, i'm interested

Buy it and see what *you* think.

    What year is it?

BTW - if it was raced at loudon I'm sure there are people here who can give you some insight into the bikes condition.

nice looking bike - too bad the extra wheels are sold.

Is that a track day sticker on the screen? No numbers on the bike...?

    Re: sv650 or an i4?

i wanna try a 636 for the track, but a GSX-R would be my 2nd choice. it would be convenient for me to be able to swap parts if needed.
i would say go for the 636 but since you have a ninja now, the GSX-R might be more fun since it's something different for you.
