You will have to go through the regular race registration I believe.

I want to make sure my bike is allowed too? 2000 R6? How many laps? How many people usually end up doing it?

usually about 5 or 6 bikes in that race. 8 laps.

I think its the first race on Sunday.

pace compared to rookie race? There is less than 10 ppl in the race so you will be fine. The leaders will be fast...but there will be all skill levels racing. Much like the Rookie race.

At this point my focus is on accuracy, consistency, smoothness, holding lines, and being predictable. I try to be safe to pass

Yup. It's a lot like the Rookie Race, except there's usually less people out there on the track in the Miss Match... and well... less rookies.

I am glad you posted about this. I was also wondering about the day. Last year, it was in Oct and on Sunday. The year before, it was Labor Day and on Sunday too I think. There is definitely a large range of skill level and bikes. I did the first one on my CB so obviously I was much slower than the modern bikes. You will have no problem being out there!

Edit: It was six laps last year, but you get to practice in the morning.

Ok...so it looks like they havn't decided when it will be. I just called, and they said maybe Saturday, maybe Sunday. It depends on how many riders, the weather....and apparently some other "to be determined" type factors. It sounds like it is generally a LW class race but they've run just about everything in it so chances are I will be able to do it on my 600.

You can do it on the R6, they have different waves for the three different bike catagories, sometimes 2 depending on how many entries.

Thanks for calling and finding out. I really hope it is Sunday. Also there has not been waves in the past as there are not that many people. The Miss Match race is run differently. It is a great way to support the Karen Hornbecker Memorial Fund and get some track time. The umbrella boys alone make it worth it
